Although the Valley might not be known as a hub for spooky sightings or its eerie histories, it certainly is not short of haunted houses and buildings that locals and tourists alike can explore during the Halloween season. With blood-pumping fright nights and adrenaline-inducing experiences taking place at haunted houses across the Valley, everyone can join in on the frightful festivities this season.
The Crypt Haunted Attraction [MESA]
The Crypt is known as one of Arizona’s longest-running haunted houses. With three attractions: the Crypt, the Asylum, and Chaos, this adrenaline-infused event will inspire guests with new scares and heart-pounding thrills. Scarizona Scaregrounds [MESA]
Scarizona Scaregrounds is one of Arizona’s largest haunted houses. The spooky grounds feature sites like the Haunt World and Arizona Haunted Houses. AZ Field of Screams [GLENDALE]
Test your instincts as you maneuver your way through AZ Field of Screams, an eerily quiet and dark cornfield that was once planted over an old cemetery. Beware of the creatures of the living dead that are known to roam the grounds and to haunt all who dare to enter. The 13th Floor Haunted House [PHOENIX]
The Valley’s very own 13th Floor has been noted as being one of the spookiest experiences in the state. Even the Huffington Post has talked up this Phoenix haunt, going as far as to call it one of the scariest haunted houses in the nation. Between terrifying life-like creatures and immersive sets, this experience is sure to leave you spooked. The 13th Floor is open through Nov. 3, and admission tickets start at $27.99. Haunted Graveyard [SCOTTSDALE]
Chris Birkett has developed a reputation as being the master of ghoulish frights and delights at his very own Haunted Graveyard. This iconic, East Valley favorite has served up scares for more than 30 years. This spine-tingling haunted house is slated to return again this year and will run from Oct. 27 to Oct. 31. Fear Farm [PHOENIX]
This classically-spooky haunted house provides the perfect balance of fear and fun. Fear Farm is the largest outdoor attraction in the Valley that features a corn maze, a haunted hayride and several indoor/outdoor haunted attractions. This season, Fear Farm is open from September through November, with varying days and hours. Tickets start at $27.99.
