It’s the 4th Annual Jester Idol contest at the Renaissance Festival!

This year’s contest will be a bit different. Each amateur comedian will submit a video of their comedy bit (no more than 5 minutes long). The deadline to get your video to us is March 15th. Your video should be “family friendly” and be able to be viewed by all ages as the winner will perform live in costume at the Renaissance Festival on April 1st at 2 pm for 20 minutes. Unlike the previous contest, there will be ONLY one winner. The winner will receive the following: His/Her comedy played on Funny 1260AM for one week (date and times TBD), a top post on our website at www.funny11260am.com with a photo and link to winner’s website (if applicable), 4 tickets to the Ren Fest plus parking pass,  4 tickets to Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy, and 2 tickets to Laugh4Hope ( Plus a special gift basket from the Renaissance Festival).

Contest Rules:

1. Video must be no longer than 5 minutes in length.
2. Video must reach our judges by March 15th
3. Contestants must be an amateur comedian (not currently booked or on tour and receiving monetary compensation for performing)
4. Content must be PG13
5. If chosen as the winner, comic must be available to perform at Renaissance Festival on date and time mentioned above.
6. Winner must provide clean audio (good quality sound for broadcast) of a performance with audience reaction ( enough material to get 5 to 10 bits; each bit will be 2 to 3 minutes long). We will offer some assistance with editing if needed.
7. Funny 1260am reserves the right to select which comedy bits are chosen for airing and also reserves the right to not air any material deemed inappropriate and non-compliant with FCC regulations.
