Think you’re funny! Then “HAZZUH” you could be the next Court Jester for the Queen as the second annual Jester Idol contest is gearing up to take place on March 12th at this year’s Renaissance Festival in Gold Canyon!
The second annual Jester Idol competition will take place on March 12th 2016 at the Renaissance Festival in Gold Canyon at 2pm.Up to 5 want-to-be Jesters will compete for bragging rights and cool prizes including a chance to be on Today’s Comedy Radio 1260AM/96.1FM as a “Guest Host” and introduce the comedy bits ON THE RADIO!
The contest will allow each comic up to 5 minutes to entertain the audience and each will be scored from 1 to 5 in the following areas: Costume, Delivery, and Effectiveness.
This show is a FAMILY show so each comedian is expected to deliver content that is PG13 and that can be enjoyed by the whole family. If a contestant breaks the PG13 guidelines, they will be disqualified and will no longer be considered a contestant, thus forfeiting any and all possibility of winning.
1st (Highest score) be the “Guest Host Comic” on Today’s Comedy Radio Phoenix during an upcoming week after 3/12/2016. Other prizes awarded courtesy of the Renaissance Festival.
2nd place will receive 2 VIP tickets to see Bill Maher at Comerica April 10th 2016. Other prize awarded courtesy of the Renaissance Festival.
3rd place will receive 4 tickets to an upcoming show at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy in Phoenix. Other prize awarded courtesy of the Renaissance Festival.
The following Score Card will be use to judge all performance with a score from 1 to 5 in each area, 5 being the highest, 1 being the lowest.

How to qualify: If you are interested in being a contestant send an email to [email protected]. Please include the following:
Full Name, Address, Phone, email, and age.
All entry will be equally considered and 5 will be randomly drawn to compete in the Jest Idol Contest on March 12th, 2016.
All contestants must be at least 21 years of age and must perform as a single “stand up” comedian and not a “comedy group”.
All contest results will be final, and all prizes are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
